Horses For Sale

2007 AQHA/NFQHA (83%) Lineback Dun Filly - Dun Shootin - "Dixie" is a full sister to my stallion, Jerry's Colonel Dunit.  Very talented and just the sweetest disposition!  Hopefully she will be as willing as her brother.  Though I am reluctant to sell, I have priced her in the event someone just can't live without her.  This filly is a granddaughter of the legendary Hollywood Dunit.  This filly just got back from 30 days of basic education and some trail riding.   She has been shot off of but I want her to grow up more before I push her too fast.  Will start trailing some cattle as soon as I get some!  $3000

2007 APHA Sorrel Overo Gelding - SRP War "Boomer" is out of a competitive mounted shooting horse (Miss Sonny Brew), by a competitive mounted shooting horse (War Image).  He should make an excellent performance prospect.  Minimal white markings.
This gelding also completed 30 days of basic education and some trail riding. He is FLASHY!  He has been shot off of but I want him to grow up more before I push him too much.  He is big, leggy with a hip that won't quit.  $2500

2005 AQHA Line Back Dun Mare - Pocos Lil Goldenstar "Wink" - I purchased this mare at a local sale and she had been previously abused.  I initially thought he had never been caught but she has some mouth scars and a cut tongue indicative of abuse or misuse of equipment.  Wink spent 30 days in training at Harris Ranch in Whitewater, CO doing some basic ground training and working on trust issues.  She has been used as a tie horse for horses needing to learn to be led.  Very athletic.  One of the widest eye-sets I have ever seen on a horse.  This mare is absolutely gorgeous.  $1500

1997 APHA Sorrel Homozygous Tobiano Mare - Miss "Sassy" Song had a filly by Jerry's Colonel Dunit on 03-24-09.  The filly is a minimal white red dun Tobiano.  Very cute headed, super large hip and lots of natural muscle.  Sassy produces very nice  foals and with her homozygous gene, will only produce the paint color.  She is not broke to ride.  She has some old leg scarring on her hind hocks, though they don't limit her ability to get around at all. $500

1990 Bay AQHA/NFQHA (81%) Mare - "Amanda" Freckles (http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/amanda+freckles) is a bulldog style Foundation mare who is the dam of my stallion, Jerry's Colonel Dunit and his full sister listed above.  On June 9th, Amanda foaled a beautiful buckskin filly by SAS's A Stud Named Pearl.  He is a Perlino Tennessee Walking Horse.  This foal will be registered in the Half Walker registry.  Amanda is broke to ride but with all my other horses, she is just being used as a broodmare.  Amanda is a grandaughter of the legendary Colonel Freckles and great-grandaughter of Poco Bueno.  It is hard to find breeding sound mares with close-up foundation bloodlines like this. She is open for early breeding next year.  $2500

2005 Grey TB Mare - "Mist" - This mare has a real nice foundation, gives to  both sides, soft face, and has a very smooth, English type movement.  I purchased this mare with a friend in mind who loves greys and wanted a hunter/jumper type.  She loved her looks and movement but wanted something with a little more age on her.  She sticks at 16 hands and is put together very well.  This mare is very quiet and has been shot off of.  She did not make any type of evasive movement but just kept a nice easy lope.  Her sire was second in the Preakness Stakes.  This mare is priced to sell at $2500

Young Black and White Tobiano mare - "Oops" is a very quiet mare who has had less than 10 rides.  She is started very quietly and seems to be willing to please.  She is 3 years old but doesn't come with registration papers.  She is on the small side at about 14 hands but doesn't ride "small".  She has also been shot off of.  She tossed her head slightly on the first shot but didn't do anything else the other times.   Very easy to get along with. $2000

1999 Buckskin Tobiano Gelding - War "Image" is my retired mounted shooting horse.  He has arthritis in his left rear hock that takes him out of heavy competition.  He has a very big heart and will still try to go out and run with the big dogs.  With injections, he could probably still breakaway rope and be used as a trail horse.  I just wouldn't do an event where he has to make hard left turns.  He can be trail ridden but not on steep downhills.  Image is a real sweetheart.  He does crib and if penned next to another dominant gelding, will kick at the pen.  This is how he developed the arthritis.  He was a stallion until 3 years ago when he started to develop behaviour problems.  We found out during the gelding process that he had a pre-cancerous testicle so his testosterone levels were through the roof.  He is currently running with the mares, foals and a couple of geldings and getting along great.  He is a GREAT babysitter for the foals and always has them hanging around him.  Image is being offered free to a good home.

2009 Red Dun Tobiano Filly - "Jackpot" - This filly is out of the Sorrel Homozygous mare listed above and by my stallion, Jerry's Colonel Dunit.  The filly is quiet, has minimal white, and a hip to die for.  With her dam's speed breeding and her sire's working bloodlines, this should be an excellent performance cross.  Foals are selling cheap so get her this year and she will only cost you $500.

2009 Buckskin Tennessee Walker/Quarter Horse filly - "Darby" is out of my Foundation QH mare, Amanda Freckles (listed above) and by a Perlino Tennessee Walking Horse stud.  She has a very nice Walker overstride and a little "attitude".  Not a bad attitude, just attitude.  She is very cute and has the classic QH look.  I have not yet seen her gait but sometimes the Half Walkers so not show it until they are under saddle.  This is a nice filly at a bargain price.  $500
